Role Description:
FORD Models is preparing to launch a new digital initiative and is looking for a UX/UI Designer to oversee the process of creating and implementing FORD’s new digital platform. The designer will work with executives, digital team members, and engineers to help execute current designs and strategies, and then grow the platform’s impact in the market after launch.


Detailed Requirements:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members such as product architects, developers, business stakeholders and customers to develop design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques
  • Produce journey maps, personas, wireframes, architecture diagrams, detailed user experience workflows and interactive design mockups that effectively communicate the intended design
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Craft UX designs for diverse product ranges including web, embedded software, stand-alone applications, and emerging devices
  • Work with graphic designers to define and develop UI style guides, best practices and design systems while remaining knowledgeable about emerging trends
  • Preserve branding standards, ensuring visual consistency of website via use of style guides and enforcement of established standards and best practices
  • Design innovative, refined web solutions from wireframes and creative briefs that are on target with the objectives
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and the specifics of user centered design process
  • Create artifacts to enable all design stages from concept to final specification hand-off
  • Present and defend design concepts and deliverables to peers and management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or similar degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience in interaction design, user interface design, and user experience research
  • Extensive experience creating wireframes, interactive mockups and visual designs
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience designing for responsive websites
  • Familiarity with user interface guidelines and best practices for major platforms (iOS, Android, web) and an understanding of the limitations and tradeoffs of using various development technologies and standards (HTML, CSS, etc.)
  • A deep understanding of user centered design and an ability to integrate design into the creation of new product and service offerings across digital, service and system
  • Demonstrated ability to review product documentation and collateral for content and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of mobile platforms and responsive design
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to simplicity and clarity
  • Up-to-date with the latest Web and Mobile trends, techniques and technologies
  • Passion for taking design data and user needs and translating them into actionable product strategies: creating product and service concepts that enable development teams to act on your findings.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be personally motivated, a progressive thinker, and an all-around team player

Qualifications:
